Our Immediate Needs: Our most urgent capital equipment need is refrigeration units to be able to keep donated dairy and produce. These units cost around $2000 new, and we require 3-4 units or $8000.00. Our second need is a used Box Truck with a 2500-pound lift gate is another pressing need to transport food. Many of our volunteers are unwilling to tow trailers, and hand-loading at our pick-up site is not possiblefor our volunteers. The cost of this truck runs from 24,000 to 50,000 depending on condition and mileage.
Our Operating Needs: Our basic operating needs are about $3,000 a month, including overhead, to feed 350 families or $10 a month to feed a family. We hope you will partner with us in our quest to beat food insecurity.
